This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) governs the
collection, use and sharing of personal information
concerning your access to and use of this
website as well as any other media form, media
channel, mobile website or mobile application
related, linked, or otherwise connected thereto
through http://www.maschain.com/ (collectively,
the “Platform”), by Masverse Technologies
Sdn Bhd, a company
incorporated in Malaysia with its business address D05-3A, Setiawalk,
Persiaran Wawasan, Pusat
Bandar Puchong, 47610 Selangor (“Masverse” or “We”). By using
the Platform (including content, features, links, services and tools), you indicate that you have
read and understood, and you accept and agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions
stipulated in this Policy. If you do not agree with any terms and conditions in this Policy, we
strongly advise against the utilisation of the Platform.
The Platform serves as the
online part of the Maschain BaaS (Blockchain as a Service), which
is a Layer 1 blockchain protocol
which integrates POA (Proof-of-Authority) consensus
mechanism enabling the achievement of a
tighter security and control of the node’s integration.
The terms
“you” or “your” in this Policy shall refer to all persons
utilising the Platform.
1. Collection of Information
(a) You should note that the Platform may collect the following types of information during
your
utilisation or for the purpose of enabling your utilisation of the features and functionality of
the Platform:
(i) your mobile number or e-mail address or such other information as
may be required
when you sign up or log in to your account on the Platform;
(ii) your name, physical address, social media/network identification and in certain
circumstances
financial information related to method of payment, billing and other
information which is
necessary in order to provide certain services and/or complete
transactions as requested or agreed
by you;
(iii) personal information that is furnished to the Platform through correspondence, chats,
dispute resolution, or shared by you from other services, social applications, website;
(iv) further personal information that the Platform may require you to submit for the
purposes of
authenticating and identifying yourself in the event that we believe you
may be in violation
and/or in breach of the Platform policies (e.g. the Platform may
request you to send an
identification or to answer additional questions online to
supplement the verification of your
identity). This policy is necessarily in place for
security purposes and to protect your personal
data; and
(v) information from other companies, such as demographic and navigation data;
(vi) aggregate information such as non-identifying, general, and generic information
which may be collected through the utilisation of the Platform to better design the
Platform and to
improve the features and functionality of the Platform.
(b) Provision of personal information shall be voluntary unless where it is indicated as
mandatory. Where personal information is indicated as mandatory, failure to provide such
information may result in us not being able to process your request completely.
(c) Masverse may use technical means to collect certain non-personally identifiable
information
about visitors to the Platform. For example, when you visit the Platform, we
assign you a unique
user ID and store it on your computer in the form of a cache (unless
your browser’s cache
support has been disabled). Through the use of cache, user IDs, and
invisible gifs, we are able to
optimize the performance and functionality of the Platform, and
to personalize the Platform for
you and present you with content and offers specific to your
interests. If you are uncomfortable
with the idea of your information being stored in cache,
we recommend disabling cache support in your browser; though please understand this
will limit the
performance and functionality of the Platform. Your browser documentation
will provide specific
procedures for disabling cache support.
2. Usage of Information
(a) Our primary purpose in collecting and using the personal information is to provide you
with
a safe, smooth, efficient and customized experience on the Platform.
(b) We shall endeavour to use the information collected to:
(i) provide the services requested by you;
(ii) provide customer support, resolve dispute
and troubleshoot problems or for such other
communication purposes to facilitate our services; manage our relationship with you;
(iii) prevent potentially prohibited or illegal activities and enforce our terms of use;
(iv) customize, measure and improve our services, content and advertising;
(v) send you targeted marketing, service updates, and promotional offers;
(vi) improve the features and functionality and content of the Platform, and keep you
notified with
regards to updates to the Platform; and
(vii) compare information for accuracy and verify it with third parties.
(c) You will be able to choose your privacy preferences regarding the marketing
communications we send.
3. Sharing of Information
(a) We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information with others.
(b) We may share your personal information with Masverse affiliates, Masverse licensees or
third
party service providers who help with our business operations or perform functions on
our behalf
under contract with us. They have restricted access to personal information
needed to provide
their service or perform their functions but may not use it for any other
purpose.
(c) We may share your personal information with third parties to whom you expressly request
or consent us to disclose such information when utilising a specific service as may be
offered by
the Platform.
(d) Personal information may be shared in response to legal compliance and/or requirements
with law enforcement officers or governmental officials where there may be a verified
request
relating to a criminal investigation or alleged illegal activity, or protection of one’s
safety, property or rights. In such event, we may disclose personal information in
accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
(e) Additionally, personal information may be disclosed without prior notice when Masverse
has a good faith belief that such disclosure is necessary in order to protect or defend the
legal
rights or property of Masverse, Masverse affiliates, Masverse licensees and/or their
employees,
agents and contractors (including enforcement of our agreements); to protect
the safety and
security of other Masverse customers; to protect the integrity of the Platform;
or to protect
against fraud or for risk management purposes.
(f) In the event of a bankruptcy, or a merger, acquisition, joint venture or other business
transaction, involving the Platform, personal information may be transferred as part of the
assets of Masverse, but will remain subject to this Policy.
(g) Where a foreign recipient is receiving your personal information, we shall undertake all
reasonable steps to ensure that such disclosure is in accordance with applicable laws and
regulations and is not in breach of privacy obligations.
4. Global Data Processing and Transfer
There are Masverse locations worldwide, and your personal information may be
transferred or made available to and among Masverse affiliates or Masverse licensees at
the
Masverse locations around the world. Some of these countries may not require
equivalent
protections for personal information as exist under your local laws. By providing
personal
information to us, you acknowledge and consent to the processing, transfers,
and disclosures
described in this Policy. Masverse affiliates and Masverse licensees at
the Masverse locations who
process data subject to this Policy are required to adhere to
this Policy and observe the
applicable laws and appropriately protect your personal
information.
5. Personal Information Safeguard and Account Protection
(a) Safety is a top priority for us. We have implemented technical, administrative and
physical
security measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access and improper
use. From
time to time, we review our security procedures in order to consider appropriate
new technology
and methods. Please be aware that despite our best efforts, no security
measures are perfect or
impenetrable.
(b) Your password is the key to your account. Use unique numbers and letters and do not
disclose your password to anyone. If you do share your password or your personal
information with
others, remember that you are responsible for all actions taken in the
name of your account. If
you lose control of your password, you may lose control over your
personal information and may be
subject to legally binding actions taken on your behalf.
Therefore, if your password has been
compromised for any reason, you should
immediately notify us and request for change of your
password.
(c) We will not ask for your password by phone or e-mail. If you receive such enquiry, please
report the incident to us at the contact described in Clause 10.
6. Accessing and
Updating of Personal Information
(a) You may at any time access or update your personal information through the account
profile settings online. If you believe that any personal information that we hold or have
recorded
about you is inaccurate, incorrect, or incomplete, you may request an
amendment or clarification
of it. We recommend that you keep your information as current
as possible so that we may continue
to improve our services to you.
(b) You are entitled to access any personal information that we hold about you at any time by
contacting us following the details as set out in Clause 10. Upon request for such access,
we will
endeavor to provide you with an adequate means of accessing it.
(c) There may be instances where we cannot grant you access to the personal information
we hold. For example, we may need to refuse access if granting access would interfere
with the
privacy of others or if it would result in a breach of confidentiality or law. In that
event, we
will provide you with written reasons for any refusal.
7. Children's Privacy
We recognize the need to provide further privacy protections
with respect to personal
information we may collect from children. Some of the features on the
Platform are age-
gated so that they are not available for use by children, and we do not knowingly
collect
personal information from children in connection with those features. When we intend to
collect personal information from children, we take additional steps to protect children’s
privacy, including:
(i) notifying parents or legal guardians about our information
practices with regard to
children, including the types of personal information we may collect from children, the
uses to
which we may put that information, and whether and with whom we may share
that information;
(ii) in accordance with applicable law, obtaining consent from parents or legal guardians
for the collection of personal information from their children, or for sending information
about
our products and services directly to their children;
(iii) limiting our collection of personal information from children to no more than is
reasonably necessary to receive our services; and
(iv) giving parents or legal guardians
access or the ability to request access to personal
information we have collected from their children and the ability to request that the
personal

(a) The Platform may contain links that direct you to other websites or external content
and
resources which are not within our control. Those links are provided for your convenience.
(b) Whilst we will use our best endeavours to ensure that those links direct you only to
websites
which share our privacy and security standards, we would like to assert that we
are not in the
position to guarantee the same. Therefore, we will not be held responsible
for the protection and
privacy of any personal data which you provide on any external
websites.
(c) Those other websites may have their own privacy statement in place, and we strongly
recommend that you exercise caution by reviewing the privacy policy of those websites
before
disclosing any information.
9. Modifications to Policy
We reserve the right, at any time, in our sole and absolute discretion to revise this
Policy.
Any updated versions of this Policy will be posted on the Platform and will be effective
upon
posting. We encourage that you review this page regularly for any changes or updates.
You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this Policy periodically
and become aware of any amendments.
